Orlando is the Senior Associate and founder of Ortega-Medina & Associates. He has been representing clients on a world-wide basis in the fields of U.S. business immigration, nationality and consular law since 1993. Orlando holds both US and Canadian nationality and has practiced US business immigration on both sides of the border.
Orlando travels frequently to consulates throughout the European Union, Canada, and Latin America to personally assist his clients on a variety of visa-related matters. He is also available to counsel foreign enterprises in the establishment, planning and growth of their newly established US business operations, should they choose to locate in the state of California.
In 1991, Orlando received his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. He also earned a Certification in EU Legal Systems in 1990 from the University of Madrid, and his B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1988. Mr. Ortega-Medina is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and The United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He is an active Member in Good Standing of the State Bar of California, American Immigration Lawyers' Association ("AILA"), the Law Society of England and Wales International Division, the International Bar Association, and the Jewish Association for Business Ethics ("JABE"). He is also authorized as a Consultant in Overseas Law by the Law Society of England and Wales.

Katie is an Associate Attorney at Ortega-Medina & Associates’ London office, who has recently rejoined the firm. She is admitted to practice before the Indiana State Supreme Court and the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
Katie received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington in 2007, after receiving a B.A. in French from Hanover College in 2004. She has spent significant time studying internationally, including acquiring fluency in French through studies in France and spending two semesters studying international and comparative law through the London Law Consortium.

Jason is a Bay Area native, born and raised in Oakland. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1994. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1999 after graduating from Hastings College of the Law in the same year. Jason is duly Admitted and Licensed to practice before all state and federal courts in the State of California.
Jason is available to advise our business expansion clients and foreign investors regarding business transactions, contract negotiation, due diligence matters, real property transactions and litigation focusing on commercial disputes, lease negotiations and property disputes.
Prior to joining our team, Jason spent four years specializing in labor and employment, during which time he represented individuals and labor unions for several San Francisco firms. In 2004, he founded The Erlich Law Firm, a California law firm which focuses on representing individuals in employment disputes. Additionally, Jason has worked as a union organizer on successful campaigns to unionize public-sector employees.
Through his volunteer work, Jason provides assistance to low-income workers at San Francisco's Employment Law Center and the Worker's Rights Clinic. In addition to his passion for the law, he enjoys running, hiking, skiing, traveling and outdoor activities. He has traveled, hiked and skied throughout the world including several months-long trips to Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and Viet Nam.

Alberto is Of Counsel to Ortega-Medina & Associates in the State of Florida, where he advises in the areas of corporate and commercial transactions, general business law and internet law. In his own practice, Mr. Moris represents commercial entities as diverse as airlines, air cargo companies, real estate development companies, property management companies, construction companies and contractors.
Alberto graduated from the University of Miami in 1987 and from Emory University School of Law in 1990. He is Admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Courts for the District of Connecticut and the Southern District of Florida, in addition to the United States Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit. He is multilingual in Spanish and French.

William has been with the firm since 1996, first as office manager of the firm's San Francisco Office, and later as the head of its Canadian Immigration department at the firm's former Montreal Office. He now serves Ortega-Medina & Associates as the Director of Operations of its London Office. William holds credentials as a law clerk, which he earned in 1998 at City College of San Francisco.
Izidora is a qualified US immigration paralegal, with a Bachelor or Arts degree in Political Science and English Literature from Tel-Aviv University, Israel, and law studies at Russe University, Bulgaria. Prior to joining the legal team at Ortega-Medina & Associates, Izidora had gained 3 years of solid US business immigration experience at a prominent New York law firm. Izidora is a native of Bulgaria and, in addition to her native language, she possesses a good command of English, Hebrew and Russian.
Nallely is an experienced US immigration paralegal who recently re-joined Ortega-Medina & Associates. She worked as an immigration paralegal in Chicago for 3 years helping families and individuals facing removal proceedings and more recently in London she has been assisting businesses on US and UK visa matters.
Nallely gained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Chicago in Law and completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at the City Law School in London. Nallely is fully fluent in Spanish and she has served as a professional interpreter.
Melissa is the newest member to the team having joined in September 2011.
Melissa was awarded a Bachelor's Degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada in Political Science and later a Bachelor's Degree in law at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, London in 2010.
Prior to joining the team, Melissa acquired Paralegal experience in both civil and criminal litigation. Melissa has attended London Magistrates, Crown Courts, Police Stations, and Prisons on a variety of complex and high profile Criminal and Human Rights issues.
Melissa runs a Human Rights Charity - Voice for the Voiceless UK - where she represents individuals at the Tribunal on Employment and Immigration matters. Melissa is fluent in French and conversational in Russian and is known for her down to earth qualities.
